Hoodie Allen's "Whatever, USA" brings up feelings of nostalgia for older fans

After waiting nearly two years, Hoodie Allen fans finally got a new album in "Whatever, USA". Hoodie had teased previously that this album had a sound that reminded him of his older releases, and fans had to agree upon release. Personally, I get a Crew Cuts mixed with an All American vibe.

"Whatever, USA" is an amazing album from start to finish. It starts off with the title track. The part that sticks out to me the most is the very end of the song. There's a little radio bit and an ode to All American all in one. Older fans would definitely appreciate this little shout out.

There are three singles on this album: "Come Around", "Hell of a Time", and "Never Going Back". These are some of the best singles I've ever heard on an album to date. They're all super catchy and easily get stuck in your head. I've had them on repeat ever since they came out.

While all of these songs are amazing, I think my favorite as of right now is "You Should Let Me Know". This is a very sad but upbeat song. It's very relatable to anybody that's been through heartbreak.

This album was definitely worth the two year wait. It's going to leave a lasting impression on everybody that listens to it. If you've never listened to Hoodie Allen, this is a great place to start. Out of 5 stars, I'm giving "Whatever, USA" 4.5 stars. Watch out for Hoodie Allen on tour this fall. If he's coming to a city near you, go out and support an independent artist!
