Waterparks makes a comeback with "Turbulent"

Back in April, Awsten Knight, the lead singer of pop punk band Waterparks, previewed part of an upcoming single on an Instagram live. On May 23, we finally got the full single in "Turbulent." This single is not only the first single for the new era of Waterparks, but it's also their first song on Hopeless Records.

"Turbulent" is a very bitter song. This single is obviously about one of Knight's exes and was written after a nasty breakup. Most fans believe this song is about Ciara Hanna, who supposedly cheated on Knight. He was heartbroken after the breakup, and went on to write their album, "Entertainment." This album is full of sad and angry songs, but "Turbulent" takes the cake for breakup songs.

While it is a very angry song, "Turbulent" is still amazing in every way. From the fast paced drums to the guitar in the into, this is easily one of the best singles Waterparks have ever put out. It's definitely the type of song you would scream at the top of your lungs to help blow off some steam.

If the new album has more songs like "Turbulent," it will definitely be an amazing one. I'd love to see some songs reminiscent of their other albums as well. There are rumors going around stating that this next album is going to be angrier and "heavier." The best example of this would be their song "TANTRUM." If this is the case, I'm definitely on board and can't wait for the new album.

If I had to rate "Turbulent," I'd easily give it a five out of five stars. I see nothing wrong with this song, and the full version exceeded my expectations. To give this breathtaking single a listen, head over to the band's Spotify page. You can also listen to it anywhere else where music is available.
